Wendy Maple

"Bloom where you are planted.” 1 Corinthians 7:20–24

Wendy Maple grew up in Glassboro, NJ and is a Temple University Cum Laude graduate with a BA in Communications – Radio, TV and Film. Her first passion was television news, where she was a reporter and anchor (Wendy Scott) for WTTV-4 in Indianapolis for a number of years in the late 80’s.

Fast forward to the present, and she is now enjoying a successful career in technology solution sales as a trusted C-suite advisor. Wendy is currently an Outreach Consultant for netlogx, a 21-year-old woman-owned Information Risk Management consulting services company headquartered in Indianapolis. netlogx was founded by Women & Hi Tech past President emeritus Audrey Taylor. Audrey formed her firm to help her clients manage change and solve complex enterprise-level business problems.

Before joining netlogx in 2017, Wendy had previously worked in IT solution sales and staffing for Theoris, CSpring and STLogics and its sister company STBigData. It’s at STLogics,  where she organized and hosted the first Indy Big Data Conference in 2014. This has become an annual “must attend” Indianapolis IT event since its inception.

Prior to Wendy’s career shift to technology solution sales, she was a Recruitment Marketing Strategist for First Advantage. Wendy used software tools to provide digital media and web-based talent recruitment solutions for clients like Citi, Best Buy, Sears, and other enterprise-level clients.

She is happily married to her husband Mark and is the mother of two sons. Her oldest son Gil recently received his M.D. from Indiana University’s School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Today, Gil is at Georgetown University completing his four-year anesthesia residency. Her youngest son Andy will be a senior at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, IN. He is majoring in Finance with a minor in Informatics. Andy was also a walk-on linebacker on IU’s football team for several seasons. Go Hoosiers! Their family dog is named Chopper and they live in Noblesville.

Wendy loves being social and getting together with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, sports, concerts, movies, dining out and reading. Any beach is ALWAYS her happy place!

As a lifetime learner, she decided to join Women & Hi Tech in 2014 to find out more about trending IT solutions and to meet Indianapolis women working in these fields. She's happy to say that her Return on Investment as a member for several years now of this growing organization has led to not only knowledge building, but the building of new relationships with ladies she now calls friends!

Her goal for Women & Hi Tech is to expand its outreach by improving its brand awareness and by offering more STEM-related educational opportunities for females of all ages.
