Audrey Taylor

"A Woman is like a tea bag; You never know how strong it is until it's in hot water."  Eleanor Roosevelt

Audrey Taylor, born in England, now an American Citizen, has served in the Information Technology world for over 25 years on both sides of the pond.  Audrey, a strong advocate for women, education and children, founded netlogx, your consulting partner for Information risk management services, in 1998. She is passionate about data, has extensive experience in IT service delivery, sales and client relationship management. A veteran in the healthcare services arena and State Government, Audrey’s pragmatic understanding of data governance and data compliance requirements, enables clients to leverage their data into actionable information, which positively impacts their business decisions.

She has led by example seeing netlogx grow from a local organization here in Indianapolis to a thriving business active across the United States and opening netlogx Limited in the UK on leap day 2016.  She is proud that as netlogx has grown she has been able to maintain the company culture as demonstrated by the staff recognition for the third time as a Best Companies to Work, most recently for 2017. Her vision is for an inclusive organization that leverages a wide range of talent challenged to think differently purposefully creating a culture that is Diverse by Design.

Contributing back to the community Audrey has focused her efforts to support women and diversity.  In addition to serving on the Women & Hi Tech board currently as President and for one year as Vice President and two years as Treasurer, she serves on the board of Coaching Women to Leadership Excellence Advisory Group.  She is a past member of the Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Employ Indy Workforce Investment Board, Regional Entrepreneurship Council and Private Sector Technology Group (PSTG).  Some of the recognitions Audrey has been honored to receive for her efforts include:  WBE Role Model of the Year by Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, Mayor's Celebration of Diversity Awards - Community Honoree, Indiana INTERNnet Impact Awards Employer of the Year, Enterprising Woman of the Year, and Pass the Torch for Women Foundation Excellence in Entrepreneurship.

Outside of the office Audrey loves to travel with her husband Nick and sons, Tom and Harry.  And she’s an avid reader and enjoys movies, and when time allows, baking and knitting.

Throughout elementary school Audrey was one day younger than Denis P - and he and Audrey competed to achieve perfect math test scores for years. From this foundation of loving the precision and clear answers of math came Audrey's introduction to coding.  When her 'A' level math class was invited to attend an open house and take an aptitude test...and as they say "the rest is history".

Audrey's goal for Women & Hi Tech is to maintain the unique spirit of the organization as a celebration of the amazing and varied women of STEM here in Indianapolis while providing a forum for members to be lifted up while encouraging each other as part of our intelligent and trustworthy community.
